Have you ever floated in a crystal clear blue abyss, drifting peacefully along a current line somewhere in the Pacific Ocean, watching tiny organisms seemingly made of light and rainbows making their way through life around you?

Have you ever floated in a crystal clear blue abyss, only to be abruptly woken out of your dreamlike trance to be face to face with something higher up on the food chain than you?

Photo by Doug FarrOur most extreme dive. The blue water night charter is a 2 tank dive - one blue and one black. Our first dive is just before dusk, floating tethered offshore in the deep blue sea. We take smaller groups of 8 divers and wait to see what goes by, usually not descending any lower than 60 feet. Small creatures seem to appear out of nowhere including small pilot fish which become your new best friend. Larger creatures really do appear out of nowhere and come to check us out and see what is making all the noise.

Photo by Doug FarrOur second dive is the same format, but at night. After dark. The mesmerizing jellies put on a colorful display that can only be described as breathtaking. Some zooplankton that only rise to the surface to feed when the lights go out are now visible to us. Our lights are but small twinkles in the vast blackness of the sea. Cool.

This charter requires at least 4 divers to make it happen and is scheduled by request only. Meet at the shop at 4:30pm, returning between 9pm and 10pm. Cost is $195. Our usual cancellation policy applies.
