Erin Heidrich
PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor/Retail Specialist
Bio: Erin was born and raised in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. She first learned to dive in the freezing waters of the Puget Sound. It was after certifying in the ice incrusted Hoodsport Canal that she knew she would never be a professional diver.
However, when she moved to Kailua Kona in 2006, the turquoise waters, sea arches, and especially the megafauna, quickly changed her mind. She dove right into her divemaster course that would eventually lead to Erin receiving her instructor certification at Jack’s Diving Locker.
Erin specializes in taking those newly certified to dive, helping them get streamlined in the water and experience the bliss of being neutrally buoyant. A member of the Coral Reef Alliance, she also enjoys sharing her love of Kona’s beautiful reef system by teaching divers about the life aquatic.
You will most likely see her on the Classic Two Tank charter, or on the Advanced Two and Three Tank dives exploring the underwater topography that makes Kona one of the best places in the world to dive.
