Liz Brown
PADI Instructor
Sales
Bio:
Raised in the Shenandoah Valley, with Northern Virginia as her home base, Liz spent much of her time traveling. Since infancy she has been an avid swimmer. During family vacations all Liz wanted to do was swim – be it in hotel pools, in lakes in Idaho, or off the coast of Massachusetts. It is no wonder that she participated in her high school’s Crew club as a coxswain.
Seeking the thrill of an adventure, Liz originally sought PADI’s open water scuba diving certificate to dive while participating in University of Virginia’s Semester at Sea program. During the semester she dove in Ensanada, Mexico, Red Sea, Egypt, and Dubrovnik, Croatia while circumnavigating the globe in 109 days. After this life-changing trip she decided she was finished with her life in the Wild West, as it is much too cold. She transferred to University of Hawaii at Hilo where she graduated with honors, receiving a B.A. in Communications, and a minor in Marine Science. She also participated in Q.U.E.S.T. qualifying her as a university scientific diver.
Her single goal when she became an instructor was to dive off the coast of Kona with Jack’s Diving Locker. Eventually she will travel the world living at other ideal diving locations! Luckily, Kona is the perfect beginning. She is often found doing the Manta night dive/snorkel! When not working she’s off to the beaches of the Big Island!
