Bio: Mark was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is a graduate of both Xavier University and Johns Hopkins. After a career in federal service (military and the intelligence community), living and working in interesting and far away places, Mark retired to the Big Island to dive and teach scuba full-time.

    First certified in 1997, Mark has dived all over the world (his favorite locations are the Maldives and wreck diving in North Carolina). Mark also worked in Maryland as a divemaster prior to becoming an instructor for Jack’s.

    Most days you’ll find Mark on a dive boat, in the shop, or bombing around town in his mellow yellow Mini Cooper.
