  • SEA CAMP HAWAII - CORAL REEF ECOLOGY
    With beach excursions and fun in the pool this week-long day camp has so much to offer. To safely explore the underwater world, students participate in the PADI Skin Diver program and try SCUBA with the PADI Bubblemaker or Discover Scuba Diving programs. For kids who love the marine environment, an in-depth study on Coral Reef Ecology is included. Students are also introduced to underwater photography, ocean ecology, and more. Take all 6 Sea Camps and receive the Jack's Diving Locker Hawaiian Marine Life Ambassador Award. .
    • Ages: 8 - 16
    • Prerequisite: Know how to swim
    • Cost $295 plus tax and materials
    • Time: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday - Friday.
    • Minimum 3 students - Maximum 8 students
    • Dates: July 6 - 10, 2009

  • SEA CAMP HAWAII - DOLPHIN AND WHALES
    With beach excursions and fun in the pool this week-long day camp has so much to offer. To safely explore the underwater world, students participate in the PADI Skin Diver program and try SCUBA with the PADI Bubblemaker or Discover Scuba Diving programs. For kids who love animals, an in-depth Marine Life Study on dolphins and whales is also included. Students are also introduced to underwater photography, ocean ecology, and more. On the last day of camp, students are taken on a Boat Trip to go snorkeling! Take all 6 Sea Camps and receive the Jack's Diving Locker Hawaiian Marine Life Ambassador Award.

  • SEA CAMP HAWAII - OCTOPUS AND INVERTEBRATES
    With beach excursions and fun in the pool this week-long day camp has so much to offer. To safely explore the underwater world, students participate in the PADI Skin Diver program and try SCUBA with the PADI Bubblemaker or Discover Scuba Diving programs. For kids who love animals, an in-depth Marine Life Study on Octopus, Sea Stars, Shells, Shrimp, Lobsters, Crabs and more is also included. Students are also introduced to underwater photography, ocean ecology, and more. Take all 6 Sea Camps and receive the Jack's Diving Locker Hawaiian Marine Life Ambassador Award.

  • SEA CAMP HAWAII - REEF FISH AND EELS
    With beach excursions and fun in the pool this week-long day camp has so much to offer. To safely explore the underwater world, students participate in the PADI Skin Diver program and try SCUBA with the PADI Bubblemaker or Discover Scuba Diving programs. For kids who love animals, an in-depth Marine Life Study on Reef Fish and Eels is also included. Students are also introduced to underwater photography, ocean ecology, and more. Take all 6 Sea Camps and receive the Jack's Diving Locker Hawaiian Marine Life Ambassador Award.

  • SEA CAMP HAWAII - SEA TURTLES
    With beach excursions and fun in the pool this week-long day camp has so much to offer. To safely explore the underwater world, students participate in the PADI Skin Diver program and try SCUBA with the PADI Bubblemaker or Discover Scuba Diving programs. For kids who love animals, an in-depth Marine Life Study on Sea Turtles is included. Campers also take a field trip to Kaloko-Honokohau National Park to survey turtles. Students are introduced to underwater photography, ocean ecology, and more. Take all 6 Sea Camps and receive the Jack's Diving Locker Hawaiian Marine Life Ambassador Award.

    • Dates: January 5 – 9, 2009

  • SEA CAMP HAWAII - SHARKS AND RAYS
    With beach excursions and fun in the pool this week-long day camp has so much to offer. To safely explore the underwater world, students participate in the PADI Skin Diver program and try SCUBA with the PADI Bubblemaker or Discover Scuba Diving programs. For kids who love animals, an in-depth Marine Life Study on Sharks and Rays is also included. Students are also introduced to underwater photography, ocean ecology, and more. On the last day of camp, students go on a Boat Trip to go snorkeling and are given a chance to view manta rays at night! Take all 6 Sea Camps and receive the Jack's Diving Locker Hawaiian Marine Life Ambassador Award.

  • SEAL TEAM SCUBA CAMP - This pool based scuba camp is the perfect way to start your diving adventure! Students participate in official PADI Seal Team Aqua Missions including basic scuba and safety skills, marine life identification, underwater photography and building a “space station” underwater. Upon successful completion of the program, students will become members of the PADI Seal Team.
    • Ages: 8 - 14
    • Prerequisite: Know how to swim
    • Cost $295 plus tax and materials
    • Time: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday - Friday.
    • Minimum 3 students - Maximum 8 students
    • Dates: June 8 - 12, June 22 - 26 2009

  • MASTER SEAL TEAM CAMP - Seal Team members continue the program in this week-long day camp. Filled with Aqua Missions such as underwater navigation, searching and retrieving lost objects, diving on a “wreck” and a real scuba dive at night in the pool. Also included are shallow water shore dives in the ocean! Upon successful completion of this course, students will become members of the PADI Master Seal Team program. This camp is a prerequisite for Jack's Diving Locker Scuba Camp.
    • Ages: 8 - 14
    • Prerequisite: PADI Seal Team Diver w/materials
    • Cost $295 plus tax and materials
    • Time: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday, 3:00 p.m to 8:30 p.m. Friday.
    • Minimum 3 students- Maximum 8
    • Dates: June 15 - 19, June 29 - July 3 2009
  • SCUBA CAMP -This is the real deal - Open Water Diver certification. Students need to prepare by reading the PADI Open Water Manual, watching the Open Water DVD, and completing all Knowledge Reviews. Course includes academics sessions, shallow water skill dives, and four Open Water dives- 2 from the shore, 2 from the boat! Upon successful completion of the program, students will receive the PADI Jr. Open Water certification.
    • Ages: 10 – 18. (Ages 10-11 must be Master Seal Team members)
    • Prerequisite: Know how to swim
    • Cost $350 plus tax and materials
    • Time: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Mon. - Thurs.
    • 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday Boat day!
    • Minimum 3 students - Maximum 8 students (up to 4 spots only ages 10 - 11)
    • Dates: January 2 - 6, March 23 - 27, June 22 - 26, July 20 -24, August 3 - 7, 2009
  • BUBBLEMAKER SCUBA CAMP - Designed for juniors who want have completed the Master Seal Team Program who want dive, dive, dive! This week-long day camp includes daily shallow water beach dives with the PADI Bubblemaker Program (max depth 6’) as well as fun in the pool. Students are also introduced to the PADI Project AWARE program.

  • ADVANCED SCUBA CAMP:
    Learn more about specific types of diving. Students prepare by reading chapters from the PADI Adventures in Diving manual and completing the Knowledge Reviews. Course includes academic sessions, shore and boat dives! Dives include Peak Performance Buoyancy, UW Naturalist, Navigation, Night, Deep, and UW Photography. Upon successful completion of this course, students receive the PADI Jr. Advanced Open Water certification.

    • Ages 12 - 18
    • Prerequisite: Jr. Open Water certification
    • Cost $350 plus tax and materials
    • Time: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Mon., 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Tues., & Wed.; 8:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. and Thurs., and 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Fri.
    • Minimum 3 students - Maximum 6 students
    • Dates: July 6 - 10, 2009
  • RESCUE DIVER CAMP:
    This week long day camp includes both the PADI Emergency First Responder course (CPR/First Aid) and the PADI Rescue Diver course. Students prepare by reading the EFR manual and the Rescue Diver manual and complete all Knowledge Reviews. Camp includes academic sessions, pool and shore dives. Upon successful completion of this course, students receive the PADI EFR and Rescue Diver certifications.
    • Ages 12 - 18
    • Prerequisite: Jr. Advanced Open Water Certification
    • Cost $350 plus tax and materials
    • Time: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Mon.- Fri.
    • Minimum 3 students, maximum 10 students

  • SPECIALTY CAMPS - These camps offer a variety of Specialty certifications for certified divers who want to know more about specific diving activities.
    • Prerequisite: Jr Open Water Certification or higher.
    • Cost $350 plus tax and materials

  • PADI JR. MASTER SCUBA DIVER
    The PADI Jr. Master Scuba Diver rating is the highest non-professional rating in recreational scuba diving. Those that receive this rating through Jack's Diving Locker will have their names engraved on a plaque in Jack's Diving Locker honoring their achievement. Jr. Master Scuba Divers meet the following criteria:
    - Jr. Open Water certification
    - Jr. Advanced Open Water certification
    - Jr. Rescue Diver
    - 5 Specialty certifications
    - 50 or more logged dives

CANCELLATION POLICY: 72 hours notice needed or full charge

**All courses include instruction by PADI certified Instructors and Divemasters. All camps follow PADI course outlines. PADI is the Professional Association of Diving Instructors – the world’s largest certification agency. Students provide course materials and mask, snorkel, fins (rental gear available). Scuba gear such as BCD, regulator, tanks, weights, and wetsuit are included. Students bring sack lunch, water bottle, swimsuit, dry clothes, and surf shirt each day. Pre-registration at Jack’s Diving Locker required. Minimum of 3 students needed to start a camp. Maximum 8 or 12 students depending on camp.

Rental gear available. When scuba diving, students also need an underwater timing device (waterproof watch). All scuba equipment (BCD, regulator, wetsuit, weights, tanks) included in camp price. Students bring sack lunch, water bottle, swim wear, dry clothes, sunscreen, hat and surf shirt. Students provide photos for certification cards and file.

Minimum of 3 students are needed to start a camp.

If there are any questions that have been answered YES on your Medical form, you need to get a medical release from us for your doctor to sign before starting class.**

    Every year on our anniversary in August we give free Discover SCUBA lessons at the Kona Community Aquatic Center.
