Specialty Instructor Training Course

PADI Specialty Instructors are PADI Instructors who have met the requirements to offer courses in various special types of diving activities.  As Instructors you have acquired the knowledge and skills necessary to offer training by continuing your education and /or gaining experience in a particular specialty diving area.

The PADI Specialty Instructor Trainer course is designed to train instructors how to organize, market, and conduct any of the following PADI Specialty Instructor courses:

The course involves academic presentations and 6 boat dives. Candidates are shown how to conduct training dives, briefings and scenarios.

The courses include deep diving techniques, color change at depth, enriched air diver analyzing enriched air blend, and longer no decompression limits, underwater photography (digital) care and maintenance of your camera, taking photos underwater. Project AWARE Fish ID identifying common families and species of fish found in tropical waters throughout the world, familiarize divers with skills, planning procedures of night diving.

Entry Requirements:

• Be a renewed PADI Assistant Instructor or PADI Instructor or completion of an IDC or OWSI course within the last12 months.
• Each specialty application requires 10 logged dives in that specialty
• Candidates qualify for the Master Scuba Diver Trainer rating with five PADI Instructor Specialties, after they have certified 25 divers and submitted a separate application to PADI.

Certification:

PADI Specialty Instructor Application Fees are the instructors responsibility - $44 per specialty
Master Scuba Diver Trainer application fee is the instructors responsibility - $60 **

Cost:

Cost for the Master Scuba Diver Trainer package is $600 plus tax.
Cost includes all boat dives, training aids.
** Does not include MSDT fee

Instructor to provide all equipment
Specialty Instructor Manual (Paper or Digital)
