At Jack's Diving Locker, the Advanced Open Water course is conducted using the PADI Adventures in Diving program. This program provides divers with a structured means to explore special diving interests and gain dive experience. All dives in this course are conducted from one of the Jack's Diving Locker custom built dive boats and includes six dives. Students begin this journey by reviewing dive skills and practicing neutral buoyancy followed by marine life identification, deep diving (70' -100'), and navigating underwater. Students also have a choice to learn about boat diving or underwater photography along with participating in the world famous Manta Ray Night Dive (conditions permitting)..
Upon successful completion of the course, students receive the PADI Advanced Open Water certification, a prerequisite for the PADI Rescue Diver course, some PADI specialty courses, or more advanced diving such as the Jack's Diving Locker Advanced 2-Tank dive trips. The academics for this course are offered through the PADI eLearning program or by using
the PADI manual Adventures in Diving.
