Advanced Open Water Diver

Tinker's Butterflyfish - Kona, Hawaii

With beautiful blue water, coral reefs, and big animals, the Kona coast of Hawaii is the place to go for your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course.  Train in a tropical paradise with the PADI professionals at Jack’s Diving Locker with three days of boat diving!

Each day, students will have two dives.   On day one, students begin their journey by reviewing dive skills and practicing basic buoyancy with Review Dive followed by marine life identification with an emphasis on Hawaiian endemic species for the Underwater Naturalist dive.  On the second day, students swim down the slope to deeper depths (70′-100′) with the Deep Dive and practice compass and natural navigation skills with the Underwater Navigation dive.  On day three, students focus on proper weighting, buoyancy adjustment and streamlining with the Peak Performance Buoyancy dive along with participating in the world famous Manta Ray Night Dive (conditions permitting).

Upon successful completion of the course, students receive the PADI Advanced Open Water certification, a prerequisite for the PADI Rescue Diver course, some PADI specialty courses, or more advanced diving such as the Jack’s Diving Locker Advanced 2-Tank dive trips.
