Summer Camp Counselor
Janelle Laros knows her stuff when it comes to Hawaii’s underwater world! She was born and raised in Kona and spent a lifetime exploring the ocean. As the daughter of Keller
and Wendy Laros, she’s been a part of the Jack’s Diving Locker ohana for her entire life. Throughout her childhood, she participated in all of the summer camps
offered through Jack’s Diving Locker including the Sea Camp Hawaii program where she achieved the Hawaiian Marine Life Ambassador Award. She then became on of Jack’s summer camp counselors where she taught about coral reef ecology, Hawaiian endemic species, and environmental stewardship. Janelle has completed the Open Water Certification, Advanced Open Water, and Rescue Diver certification programs.
After gradating from Hawaii Preparatory Academy in 2017, Janelle is now enrolled at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. She is studying Architecture and is the Vice President of the Co-Ed Club Water Polo Team.
