  • KEIKI SEA CAMP
         This week-long day is for kids (keiki) who are ready to have fun and adventure in Hawaii’s ocean environment.  Campers will participate in the AWARE Kids program and learn about marine animals such as dolphins, whales, sharks, reef fish, sea turtles, and coral reefs.  Includes a color booklet, arts & crafts, and hands-on activities.  In the JDL pool, students will learn skills with the PADI Discover Snorkeling program and try a surface only scuba-like system called SASY.  Campers will also take shore excursions where they will have fun at the beach, explore tide pools, and do some shallow water snorkeling.  Students will also participate in an AWARE Kids Mission by doing beach clean up.
    • Ages: 6-8
    • Prerequisite: Know how to swim comfortably in water too deep to stand up in.

  • SEA CAMP HAWAII - CORAL REEF ECOLOGY
         With beach excursions and fun in the pool, this week-long day camp has so much to offer!  To safely explore the underwater world, students participate in the PADI Skin Diver program and try SCUBA with the PADI Bubblemaker or PADI Discover Scuba Diving programs.  Students will also participate in the AWARE Coral Reef Conservation Specialty and will receive a PADI certification upon successful completion of the course.  Underwater photography will also be introduced. Students participate in the AWARE Kids program from Project AWARE Foundation and do a beach clean up.  Take all six Sea Camps and receive the Jack's Diving Locker Hawaiian Marine Life Ambassador Award.

  • SEA CAMP HAWAII - DOLPHIN AND WHALES
         This camp includes beach excursions, fun in the pool, and a Dolphin/Whale Watch Snorkel Cruise!  To safely explore the underwater world, students participate in the PADI Skin Diver program and try SCUBA with the PADI Bubblemaker or PADI Discover Scuba Diving programs.  Students will also participate in a dolphin/whale academic study including information provided by the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary.  Students participate in the AWARE Kids program from Project AWARE Foundation and do a beach clean up.  Underwater photography will also be introduced.  Take all six Sea Camps and receive the Jack's Diving Locker Hawaiian Marine Life Ambassador Award.

  • SEA CAMP HAWAII - OCTOPUS AND INVERTEBRATES
         This week-long day camp includes beach excursions, fun in the pool, and shoreline shell collecting!  To safely explore the underwater world, students participate in the PADI Skin Diver program and try SCUBA with the PADI Bubblemaker or PADI Discover Scuba Diving programs.  For kids who love animals, there’s an in-depth study on octopuses, sea stars, shells, shrimp, lobsters, and crabs using John Hoover’s comprehensive book on marine invertebrates Hawaii’s Sea Creatures.  Students participate in the AWARE Kids program from Project AWARE Foundation and do a beach clean up.  Take all six Sea Camps and receive the Jack's Diving Locker Hawaiian Marine Life Ambassador Award.

  • SEA CAMP HAWAII - REEF FISH AND EELS
         This week-long day camp includes beach excursions, fun in the pool, snorkeling and diving!  To safely explore the underwater world, students participate in the PADI Skin Diver program and try SCUBA with the PADI Bubblemaker or PADI Discover Scuba Diving programs.  For kids who love animals, there’s an in-depth study on butterfly fish, parrotfish, wrasses, moray eels, endemic species and more using John Hoover’s book Hawaiian Reef Fishes.  Underwater photography will also be introduced.  Students participate in the AWARE Kids program from Project AWARE Foundation and do a beach clean up.  Take all six Sea Camps and receive the Jack's Diving Locker Hawaiian Marine Life Ambassador Award.

  • SEA CAMP HAWAII - SEA TURTLES
        This week-long day camp includes beach excursions, fun in the pool, snorkeling and diving!  To safely explore the underwater world, students participate in the PADI Skin Diver program and try SCUBA with the PADI Bubblemaker or PADI Discover Scuba Diving programs.  For kids who love animals, there’s an in-depth study on sea turtles of Hawaii and the world using David Gulko’s book Sea Turtles.  A shoreline turtle survey will be conducted at Kaloko-Honokohau National Park and Kahalu’u Beach Park.  Underwater photography will also be introduced.  Students participate in the AWARE Kids program from Project AWARE Foundation and do a beach clean up.  Take all six Sea Camps and receive the Jack's Diving Locker Hawaiian Marine Life Ambassador Award.

  • SEA CAMP HAWAII - SHARKS AND RAYS
        This camp includes beach excursions, fun in the pool, and a Manta Night Snorkel Boat Charter!  To safely explore the underwater world, students participate in the PADI Skin Diver program and try SCUBA with the PADI Bubblemaker or PADI Discover Scuba Diving programs.  Students will participate in a shark and ray academic study using the book by Crites and Crow Sharks and Rays of Hawaii.  Students will learn about Manta Pacific Research Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the study and conservation of manta rays and participate in the AWARE Kids program from Project AWARE Foundation and do a beach clean up.  Underwater photography will also be introduced.  Take all six Sea Camps and receive the Jack's Diving Locker Hawaiian Marine Life Ambassador Award.

  • SEAL TEAM SCUBA CAMP
        
    This pool based scuba camp is the perfect way to start your diving adventure! Students participate in official PADI Seal Team Aqua Missions including basic scuba and safety skills, marine life identification, underwater photography and building a “space station” underwater. Upon successful completion of the program, students will become members of the PADI Seal Team.
    • Ages: 8 - 14
    • Prerequisite: Know how to swim well, participation in a PADI Bubblemaker or Discover Scuba Diving experience and consent of instructor

  • MASTER SEAL TEAM CAMP
         Seal Team members continue the program in this week-long day camp. Filled with Aqua Missions such as underwater navigation, searching and retrieving lost objects, diving on a “wreck” and a real scuba dive at night in the pool.  Also included are shallow water shore dives in the ocean! Upon successful completion of this course, students will become members of the PADI Master Seal Team program.  This camp is a prerequisite for Jack's Diving Locker Open Water Scuba Camp for ages 10 - 11.

    • Prerequisite: PADI Seal Team Diver w/materials
    • Cost $295 plus tax
    • Time: Monday - Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Friday, 3:00 pm to 8:30 p.m.

  • OPEN WATER SCUBA CAMP
        
    This is the real deal – Open Water Diver certification. Students need to prepare by reading the PADI Open Water Diver Manual, watching the Open Water Diver DVD, and completing all Knowledge Reviews. Course includes academics sessions, shallow water skill dives, and four Open Water dives – two from the shore and two from the boat! Upon successful completion of the program, students will receive the PADI Jr. Open Water certification.
    • Ages 12 –18
    • Ages 10-11 – Must be Master Seal Team members, have instructor approval and accepted based on space availability.

  • ADVANCED SCUBA CAMP
        
    Learn more about specific types of diving. Students prepare by reading chapters from the PADI Adventures in Diving manual and completing the Knowledge Reviews. Course includes academic sessions, shore and boat dives! Dives include Peak Performance Buoyancy, UW Naturalist, Navigation, Night, Deep, and UW Photography. Upon successful completion of this course, students receive the PADI Jr. Advanced Open Water certification.

  • RESCUE DIVER CAMP
         This week long day camp includes both the PADI Emergency First Responder course (CPR/First Aid) and the PADI Rescue Diver course. Students prepare by reading the EFR manual and the Rescue Diver manual and complete all Knowledge Reviews.  Camp includes academic sessions, pool and shore dives. Upon successful completion of this course, students receive the PADI EFR and Rescue Diver certifications.
    • Ages 12 - 18
    • Prerequisite: Jr. Advanced Open Water Certification
    • Cost $350 plus tax and materials
    • Time: Mon.- Fri. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • SPECIALTY CAMP - BUOYANCY & UW PHOTOGRAPHER
        This week-long day camp is for students who want to capture images of the underwater world while enhancing diving skills to achieve this goal.  First, students will work toward perfect buoyancy (hovering in mid-water) with the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty.  Buoyancy skills enable divers to stay steady for a good shot and are crucial for preserving the marine environment.  With the PADI Digital UW Photographer Specialty, students learn the secrets to good composition, proper exposure, and correct lighting while taking shots of friends and fish.  After the dives, download your photos and share them.  Camp includes pool, shore, and boat dives!  Upon successful completion, students will receive two specialty certifications and these count toward the PADI Jr. Master Scuba Diver rating, the highest rating in non-professional recreational scuba diving.

  • SPECIALTY CAMP - NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC DIVER
         As a National Geographic Diver, you join an elite group of explorers, adventurers, and conservationists. The insight and training you gain during this program will broaden your awareness and take your diving to a new level. You’ll fine tune your buoyancy, navigation skills, and learn to observe and explore like an underwater scientist. Camp includes pool, shore and boat dives!  This PADI specialty counts toward the PADI Jr. Master Scuba Diver rating, the highest rating in non-professional recreational scuba diving.

  • SPECIALTY CAMP- NIGHT DIVER & MANTA RAY DIVER
         If you’re like most divers, you’ll find night diving mysterious and alluring. You may be attracted to the added challenge that darkness brings or to the myriad of marine animals that only come out at night.  In the PADI Night Diver specialty course, students learn about nocturnal marine life, night dive navigation, underwater lighting systems, and more.  This course is the perfect prep for taking the PADI Manta Ray Diver course where students dive with manta rays on the world famous Kona Manta Ray Night Dive.  These majestic animals glide, pivot, and somersault as they feed on plankton attracted to underwater lights. Students will learn about the life cycle of the manta, manta anatomy, and manta research done right here in Kona.  Students will go on three Manta Night Dive charters for a total of six open water dives. Upon successful completion of this camp, students will receive the PADI Night Diver and PADI Manta Ray Diver certifications and these specialties count toward the PADI Jr. Master Scuba Diver rating, the highest rating in non-professional recreational scuba diving.

  • SPECIALTY CAMP – SEARCH & RECOVERY DIVER
        Your favorite Ray Ban sunglasses fall overboard!  You jump in and look for them, but you can’t find them.  What do you do? Take this camp and you will learn how to organize and plan an underwater search, what patterns to use for different types of lost objects, and how to retrieve both small and large objects underwater.  Students will also learn how to tie a bowline, a sheet bend and hitches as well as how to properly use a lift bag.  Camp includes pool, shore, and boat dives.  Upon successful completion, students receive the PADI Search & Recovery Diver Specialty certification and this counts toward the PADI Jr. Master Scuba Diver rating, the highest rating in non-professional recreational scuba diving.

  • SPECIALTY CAMP - UNDERWATER NATURALIST & FISH ID
        This week-long day camp is for divers who want to know more about the underwater world and its inhabitants.  First, students will learn about amazing marine life and aquatic ecology with the PADI UW Naturalist Specialty course.  In addition, students study and identify reef fish in the PADI AWARE Fish ID Specialty course.  Camp includes pool, shore, and boat dives!  These specialties count toward the PADI Jr. Master Scuba Diver rating, the highest rating in non-professional recreational scuba diving.

  • SPECIALTY CAMP – UW NAVIGATOR & BOAT DIVER
        This week-long day camp is filled essential skills for serious divers.  First, in the PADI UW Navigator course, students will learn the secrets of getting “there” and more importantly getting “back” while enjoying the mysteries and wonders of the underwater world.  Skills such as natural navigation, compass navigation, and dive site mapping are emphasized.  Next, in the PADI Boat Diver course, students learn about boat basics, types, and terminology while practicing knot tying, docking, and emergency procedures.  Camp includes shore and boat dives!  These specialties count toward the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating, the highest rating in non-professional recreational scuba diving.

  • PADI Jr. MASTER SCUBA DIVER
        The PADI Jr. Master Scuba Diver rating is the highest non-professional rating in recreational scuba diving. Those that receive this rating through Jack's Diving Locker will have their names engraved on a plaque in our shop honoring their achievement. Divers achieving the PADI Jr. Master Scuba Divers meet the following criteria:
    - Jr. Open Water certification
    - Jr. Advanced Open Water certification
    - Jr. Rescue Diver
    - 5 Specialty certifications
    - 50 or more logged dives
    Divers ages 12-14 will earn the PADI Jr. Master Scuba Diver rating.

GENERAL CAMP INFORMATION
    All courses include instruction by PADI certified Instructors
and Divemasters. Scuba gear such as BCD, regulator, tank,
weight, and wetsuit are included. Students provide mask,
snorkel, fins (rental gear available), sack lunch, water bottle,
swimsuit, and rash guard. Registration starts by calling Jack’s
Diving Locker directly at 808-329-7585 or 1(800) 345-4807
to make a reservation. Camp details and registration forms at
www.jacksdivinglocker.com.  New student orientations
scheduled prior to camp start dates. Minimum of 3 students,
