Wondering what it was like to breathe underwater, Michael Peters and Kathey Virgin tried scuba diving with Jack’s Diving Locker last November. Jack’s Instructor, Carlos Barrios had the opportunity to lead them through the pool and a shore dive from the beach at the Kailua Pier for their first experience. While diving at the pier, Kathey and Michael were able to dive through the bait ball-hundreds of akule fish, see beautiful coral and butterfly fish. While not a scuba certification course, Discover Scuba Diving was an easy was to find out what it would take to explore the underwater world.
Michael and Kathey enjoyed their experience so much they recently returned to complete their Open Water Certification with Jack’s and their instructor, Carlos.
“Kathey and I just wanted to thank everyone at Jack’s Dive Locker for a great, fun diving experience last week. Carlos Barrios was such a good instructor (and a friend) and we also really enjoyed Shannon and Sarah as our guides for a couple days. As a follow up to that, Kathey and I got engaged while we were there. What a great trip and I’m sure you all had a lot to do with it!!!” Kathey and Mike went on to book more day dives and manta night dive.
Learning to scuba dive gives you the opportunity to experience the thrill and excitement of exploring Hawaii’s underwater world. Upon successful completion of this course, students become PADI Open Water Divers and can sign-up for our Two Tank Day Trip or the Kona Manta Ray Night Dive.
The PADI eLearning programs allows you to start the PADI Open Water Diver course immediately with either an on-line eLearning course, or the Touch version that allows you to use a tablet or iPad to do most of your studying offline. In addition to the eLearning program, students also participate in pool training and four ocean dives at Jack’s Diving Locker in Kona, Hawaii.
